Highlights from Spotlight The Arts

On May 13, 2010, the Fairfax Christian School hosted our annual Spotlight The Arts. The event featured the Colonial Fife and Drum Corps, the A Cappella Choir for our international students, drama and soloists. The projects entered in our annual school-wide art contest were displayed in the lobby. Here is a video with some highlights from the evening.

Christmas Assembly 2009

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

December 18th was the last day of school before the Christmas holiday. Students gathered for an assembly which included a performance from the A Cappella Choir and the Fife and Drum Corps.



Miss Morrow class recited the Christmas story. Student sang traditional Christmas carols, including the 12 Days of Christmas. The tradiational “Wrapping of the Teachers” was held. This year the 3rd and 4th graders won the competition, using all the wrapping paper and tape first. The high school ESL students desire an honorable mention with the most artistic wrapping job. Mr. Bollen was wrapped by the 5th and 6th graders who had a disadvantage, due to Mr. Bollen’s great height. Fun was had by all as students enjoyed this joyous time of year.

Colonials' Music










Fairfax Christian School’s Fife Corps and A Cappella Choir performed at Reston Town Center and Tysons Corner Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Students braved the cold weather performing outdoors by the fountains in Reston as bustling shoppers gather around in enjoy the colonial style Christmas music.
