Real American Manners Camp

RAM Header

To help children become more self-confident and courteous, The Center for American Culture will offer a summer etiquette camp at the Fairfax Christian School. The camps are designed to help students achieve important leadership and social skills.

Students will learn: proper deportment; how to write proper invitations, thank you notes and letters; how to give a party; how to make a phone call; how to be a good guest; how to receive and give gifts; how to dress for different occasions; and table manners for any occasion.

The day camp includes a daily field trip with lunch to a variety of local restaurants, including a formal meal at Hidden Creek Country Club.

American Culture Luncheon

International students from the Fairfax Christian School's American Culture class attended a luncheon to learn how to set a table and American dining manners.

Real American Dining Workshop

Join us for a crash course in American dining manners.

Have you ever wondered which fork to use?
. . . how to set the table for a formal dinner, a brunch or a picnic?
. . . how to eat bread without getting crumbs everywhere?
. . . how about corn on the cob, artichokes and caviar?

We will review all the table manners basics and prepare you for the fanciest affairs.  Plus details on sending and receiving invitations and writing proper thank you notes.

Included in the workshop is a
five-course meal where you can practice what you have learned.

For ages 12 and up.

Saturday, April 24th
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
