Boys should wear collared shirts. Tank tops, short shorts, cut-offs, denim jeans, biker shorts and sweat suits are not permitted. Hats must be worn in the proper way and men and boys should remove their hat while inside a building. Girls may not have bare midriffs. Boys may not wear jewelry or dye their hair. Girls may wear conservative jewelry: one earring per ear in a traditional location, and no thumb or toe rings. Students may not wear logos/advertising for alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate slogans.

Choosing The Right College
Choosing The Right College, a guide published by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, is the most in-depth resource around, providing the inside scoop on elite institutions and lesser-known schools; exclusive information on campus life, politics and intellectual diversity; which courses and professors to seek out-and which to avoid; vital statistics, best values and our handy "traffic light" rating system. Thomas Sowell says of Choosing the Right College, "By far the best college guide in America."

Congratulations Class Of 2010

Here are some highlights from the final festivities for the Fairfax Christian School’s Class of 2010. Seniors attended our annual Senior Dinner with their parents and school faculty at the Hidden Creek Country Club and had their commencement ceremony on June 10, 2010, at Reston Presbyterian Church. Our valedictorian was Do Yeon Kim and the salutatorians were Moon Kyung Jung and Rory Rowan. Congratulations to all!
Dr. Walter Hays In Switzerland

The session focuses on mega-catastrophes and large-scale natural hazards, such as: the Indian Ocean Tsunami; Hurricane Katrina; the Wenchuan, China, Port au Prince, Haiti, and Chile earthquakes; the Iceland volcano eruption; and the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. These occurrences have revealed gaps in disaster preparedness, disaster response, and disaster recovery that have led to catastrophes for the communities at risk. The panel will elaborate on best practices in science, engineering, and education to build capacity and foster implementation of policies for global risk reduction.
Dr. Hays regularly uses his expertise and incorporates these current events into the science curriculum through classroom exercises, project and assemblies.
