Summer English Classes
at the Fairfax Christian School
First Session: July 6 – 30, 2010
Second Session: August 2 – 27, 2010

Our intensive summer English programs meet from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are two sessions. Summer courses are taught by Fairfax Christian High School teachers. The program is offered for beginning and intermediate English students entering grades
five and up.

Students begin the session with comprehensive placement tests. Topics covered depend on the student’s level and include phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, public speaking, and TOEFL preparation.

Door-to-Door School Bus Transportation $490 per session

Grades
A final grade will be issued at the conclusion of the course. High school students may receive one-half of an academic credit per session.

Lunch
Participants bring a bag lunch from home or may purchase lunch from our online vendor.

Transportation
Transportation is available to limited areas, upon sufficient demand. Bus service for individual students cannot be guaranteed before June 15, 2010. Tentative transportation arrangements will be made before this date.

Dressing for Summer School
Casual dress is permitted during the summer. Any short pants must be knee length. Sweat pants and T-shirts with slogans or pictures are not acceptable. Dress should be neat, modest and presentable. Students should prepare for air conditioning.
